The Pike is one of the hardest jumps to do well. It takes a lot of flexibility in your hamstrings and a lot of strength in your legs. This is one of those jumps you can practice on the ground. Also, this jump is a very popular position for a basket toss as pictured below.
- Keep your legs together and reach for your toes.
- Point your toes.
- Bring your legs up to your arms, do not reach down for them.
- Keep your head up.
- The goal is to reach passed your toes.
- Land with your feet together.
